Hello,
I hope you are well.
It’s been a very busy week here, and in hindsight, trying to release TWO new books right before Christmas might not have been the best idea I’ve ever made.
But… I’m thrilled to let you know that both books are OUT NOW in paperback and Kindle.
Book One: Make Funny: More Tales of Adventure, Travel and Life
This is a collection of my Substack posts from April to October this year. There’s over 20 stories included and a LOT of photos. It features travels in Cornwall, France and Poland, plenty of running adventures (including the Tesco Car Park Marathon), the escapades of the dog and cat next door and much more. The book is 287 pages and if you’ve enjoyed my Substack posts but not wanted to commit to a subscription, this is your chance to have all the stories in one place.

**Paid subscribers… You’ll receive a complimentary ebook copy of Make Funny later today, and your name is included in the acknowledgements in both the ebook and paperback editions. Thanks so much for your support!**
Book Two: Things I’d Tell My Teenage Self: A Toolkit For Life
This one is something completely different. But I’m extremely proud of it and really pleased with how it’s turned out. It’s an entirely rewritten, teen-friendly version of The Self-Help Bible. The same helpful tips, but with a fresh, accessible twist for younger readers (aimed at about 12-16 year olds).
Layla and Kitty have been my toughest critics so far. Layla described it as, ‘Great book. Very insightful. Well done.’
Kitty, on the other hand, offered gems like, ‘This bit sent me to sleep!’ and ‘They’d better not mention this book at my school. I would die!’
As for Leo… I’m not even sure he knows I’ve written it.
If you have a teenager or young adult in your life - or if you’d prefer a lighter version of The Self-Help Bible for yourself - this could be the perfect gift.

Both books should arrive in plenty of time for Christmas, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed putting them together.
Now, I should probably start thinking about buying some Christmas presents...
Big love,
George
P.S. If you do check them out, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas!
Wishing your new books every success and a Merry Christmas to the Mahood family! (TITmts snigger)
